New Trailer for 1987: Thoughts, Opinions, Constructive Criticism?

July 22, 2014

Hey fellow members of the Irvine Edu4u Marketing Club,

I am not sure if anyone has seen the new trailer, but it is..... it's...... unique. If you have not seen the new trailer, ask Sarah or John. I have seen the new trailer of the 1987 and I think that we need some professional help. I know that John knows a person who can help us.

Does anybody have anything to add?
Any suggestions to make the movie/trailer/short film better?

Just comment this post and then we can look at all the comments on Sunday.

Thanks for reading,

Ethan Ko

1stttttttt POOOOOOOOOOST : T-shirts, wristbands, and kickstarter

Dear all / future members of the Irvine EDU4u academy Investment/Marketing Club,

This is my 1st post, so......yea....

Rewards are often a good way to get people interested in what we have to offer. I was browsing through all of the kick starter projects, especially film/movie/videos, and realized that there are the same cheesy, cliche, rewards.

For example:

T-shirts
Wristbands
Different types of T-shirts
stickers
MORE T-shirts
MULTIPLE t-shirts
t-shirts, t-shirts, t-shirts......

apparently people like t-shirts.

However, these cliche rewards actually work! These t-shirts are not only affordable, but they make the backers feel apart of the project, which they are. So, I propose that we make/buy custom t-shirts with a design that truly represents what this movie is about. Also, wristbands are a good way to send our message to a lot of people. They can be easily distributed and they are an easy way for people to pass our project from person to person.

Buttons, hats, and maybe mouse pads(???) may be a "next level" item that we make, but as of now t-shirts and wristbands are definitely the way to go.

In terms of Kickstarter, I think that we should have weekly updates to track our progress. Whether this is a video or just a list of things that we accomplished, it would inform our backers of all of the progress that we have made. It is based off of simple logic.

BACKERS like UPDATES
WE make UPDATES
Therefore BACKERS like US :D

Updates are also a way to tell the backers that we are not just wasting our money recklessly. We want to make the bakers feel that they are a large part of the project

Thank you for reading my first blog,
Please excuse my bad English,
